We bought this fixer upper... and have been working really hard on it! Right now We are ripping up all the old floors and putting in new espresso stained hardwoods. Painting the kitchen cabinets black and distressing them, and painting all the walls,trim,and doors! Everything takes so much longer than you think it will. It took me an hour or more to install one new lock! WHo knew!! And we still have lots more we are wanting to do.... So goodbye relaxing weekends... Hello to exhausting weekends full of sawdust and paint! But honestly we LOVE it! It's been hard work but SOOOO much fun at the same time! I'll post before and afters....

And this is one drawer completed it's been painted black and has the new hardware....but I still have to distress it...
One drawer down many more to go! It takes so long to repaint cabinets... First you have to remove all the hardware and hinges... then you have to sand all the fronts of the cabinets,drawers, and doors then you have to prime them all! Then finally you get to paint them and reinstall all the hardware and hinges again. It's a process that's for sure! But I think they will turn out great!

sounds like loads of fun! if you guys need a new roof i know somebody that does those!! ;) have fun with your new house!
very exciting!! i can't wait to see all the before and afters....as well as see it in person. oh, and we're back--so we should get together for a game night.
